Have
you ever wondered what you could do with all the hair that your
pets leave behind? Have you thought about making yarn out of
it? The fur from many breeds
of dogs and cats make a wonderfully soft, warm yarn.
I
have been owned by Siberian Huskies for the last 9 years and
had heard about people that spun their fur into yarn. I thought
what a great idea. I searched for classes that taught how to
spin and either they were too far away or were cancelled due
to poor participation. While volunteering for a Siberian Husky
rescue at a family pet fair, I met a woman that was volunteering
for a different Siberian Husky rescue spinning dog hair at their
booth. I inquired if she gave lessons and she offered to teach
me. Thank you Phyllis!
